About me
My name is Klara, and many things describe me. I like to sing, boulder, cycle, travel, read, cook … I am also a highly sensitive person with intense feelings, and it took me a lot of time and work to understand them better and start loving this part of myself. I also enjoy drinking coffee with my friends and discussing the deepest and most complicated topics one can imagine. But however cheesy this might sound, I find the most profound happiness in helping others discover their full potential.
I have always been interested in people, their actions, thoughts, and emotions. That’s why I initially completed pedagogical studies and worked with teenagers for many years, counseling them and helping them overcome the challenges that adolescence brings. This work enriched me, but I wanted more knowledge in the field of psychosocial counseling, so I completed another master’s degree, this time in cognitive-behavioral counseling. This approach is close to my heart because it tackles challenges in a practical, logical, and direct way, and above all, it is oriented toward action and taking responsibility.
Because I truly believe that we are responsible for living fully, facing our fears, and building healthy relationships with ourselves and others, I also decided to study logotherapy—a psychotherapeutic approach based on the belief that meaning is one of man’s deepest longings.
I am from Slovenia and currently live in Odense, Denmark. I offer sessions in English and Slovenian. My clients can meet with me online or face-to-face in my office in Odense.
How I work?
My main goal is to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard, accepted as they are, appreciated, and respected. But truth be told, I also like to laugh; I think humour is one of the most useful tools when facing life’s challenges. That being said, let me be clear: there is always a pack of handkerchiefs in my office—tears are not just allowed but welcomed. And the same goes for all other emotions.
I like to use metaphors. I am also a science fan and love neurology—you will constantly hear me talking about the brain. My clients sometimes say that I ask a lot of difficult questions.
But do not worry, I am here to help find the answers! My clients almost always get some homework, all sorts of it, and they mostly find it pretty exciting!
If I had to choose three expressions that characterize my therapeutic work, I would choose childlike curiosity, gentle growth, and unwavering belief that there is something good in every single person.
